ระบบแจ้งเหตุเพลิงไหม้ เป็นระบบที่มีไว้สำหรับแจ้งเตือนเมื่อมีเหตุเพลิงไหม้หรือไฟไหม้โดยผ่านการจับสัญญาณจากอุปกรณ์ตรวจจับชนิดต่างๆซึ่งจะแตกต่างกันไปตามความเหมาะสมของลักษณะพื้นที่การทำงานของระบบแจ้งเหตุเพลิงไหม้ ( Fire Alarm System) เมื่อเกิดเหตุเพลิงไหม้หรือมีกลุ่มควันเกิดขึ้นจะถูกตรวจจับด้วยอุปกรณ์ตรวจจับควัน (Smoke Detector) หรืออุปกรณ์ตรวจจับความร้อน (Heat Detector) และส่งสัญญาณไปยังตู้ควบคุม
